The Valley Blanche
(Highly recommended for intermediate
skiers)
This is a 22km off piste run down one of Mont Blanc's glaciers that
descends towards the valley of Chamonix in France, forming a spectacular 'sea
of ice'. The skiing is not particularly difficult but an alpine guide is
necessary as the run is very high up in the mountains and on a glacier.
Depending on the snow conditions, the run is open from January until May. It is
an all day trip and a bus through the Mont Blanc tunnel takes you back to
Courmayeur.

The Toula Glacier
The
Toula Glacier is one of the most interesting downhill runs of the ski area
surrounding Courmayeur. It is ever changing depending on the snow conditions
providing varying degrees of difficulty and spectacular scenery. The run is
accessed via La Palud Cable Car on the Courmayeur side of the Mont Blanc Tunnel
and two more cable cars to reach Punta Helbronner (3462m). The glacial run is
on the Courmayeur side of Mont Blanc and takes a couple of hours depending on
snow conditions and ability.

Off Piste in Courmayeur
Arp Crest-Arp Vieille/Vesses (recommended for
good skiers)
Height: 1290 metres
Open December to April depending on snow
conditions. This run is accessed via the main Courmayeur ski area above Youla.
The slopes are not very steep so you can enjoy the amazing view of the Miage
Glacier and the southern face of Mont Blanc.
Arp Crest Dolonne (Recommended for
good skiers)
Open December to March depending on snow conditions.
Accessed via
the main Courmayeur ski area above Youla. One of the most frequented off piste
ski slopes, it combines the possibility of skiing through the woods and down to
the wide gorge below Arp Pass.

Off Piste Fun Explorer/Taster for Intermediate Adults and Children
Fun off piste guiding suitable for confident children with or without their parents, finding all the places you have never been before - through the trees, finding all the nooks and crannies, bumps and jumps!

Off Piste in La Thuile
La Thuile offers excellent off piste skiing for all
levels from beginners to advanced skiers, with a variety of accessible slopes
ranging from nice steep runs through the trees to gentile open fields across
the Petit San Bernard. For those particularly fit, keen skiers, untracked
powder can be found at the "Bella Valletta". A 30 minute up hill hike is
rewarded with a pretty, long run starting at the Col di Belvedere, skiing along
the Freduaz valley down to the Argiellen chairlift (700m vertical descent).

Ski Touring
If the beaten track does not
excite you anymore or you are looking for adventure and to experience something
completely different with peace and solitude in natural surroundings, then ski
mountaineering is for you! Adequate training is of the utmost importance as
well as the correct equipment and competent skiing ability. The guide will
choose the most beautiful peaks, hills or excursions to the refuge which is
best suited to your abilities.
Daily excursions (single or group), theory and
practical lesson or Mountaineering Ski Weekend (2 days) to learn the detailed
technique, enjoy new peaks and tracks and may have the chance to climb a frozen
waterfall.

Ice Climbing
For
beginners and experts alike, glacier climbing is an exhilarating experience.
Competent handling of an ice axe and crampons is required. During the course
you will be taught the 'Piolet Traction' technique (2 ice axes and crampons).
You will discover the beautiful Cogne Valley, Valgrisenche, Valsavarenche,
Ferret Falls etc. This trip may be combined with a mountaineering ski
excursion.

Heliskiing and Heliboarding
(Highly recommended for intermediate/advanced)
The
Aosta Valley offers ultimate enjoyment from its glaciers and peaks in powder
and spring snow January to May.
The guides will choose the best runs suited to
your ability and the snow conditions.
For powder snow you need to be a
competent skier and to have had experience of skiing in deep snow. It is
important to be physically fit. Necessary equipment includes: sound bindings,
suitable skiwear especially gloves, hat and sunglasses.

per person for one drop at 1900mt for group of 4 from Courmayeur or 105 euros
per person for one drop from La Thuile descending the Miravidi Glacier for
group of 4 and 130 euros per person for one drop from La Thuile descending the
Tutor Glacier for a group of 4.
NB: The Aosta Local Government is responsible
for determining which peaks are to be used every year.
