Just Skiing can arrange Car Hire from your arrival airport so you can drive yourself to and from your resort.

This is sometimes the best value option and gives you the freedom to visit other ski resorts in the local area during your holiday. There are good motorways from Geneva and the Italian airports to Courmayeur and La Thuile which involve paying tolls.

A5 Autostrada from Turin to Courmayeur and La Thuile:
Approximately 150km/1½ hours drive

A4 and A5 Autostrada from Milan to Courmayeur and La Thuile:
Approximately 220km/2½ hours drive

Autoroute Blanche from Geneva via the Mont Blanc Tunnel (approx 39 euros return) to Courmayeur and La Thuile: Approximately 100km/1½ hours drive

Car Hire Excess insurance.

Just Sardinia and Blue Insurances have teamed up to offer Car Hire Excess insurance.

From as little as £1.99 per day or £39.99 for an annual policy, Blue Insurances can now cover the excess on your car hire whilst abroad, or within the UK for a small additional premium.

Your car hire generally covers you for Collision Damage Waiver and Theft. In most agreements you are still liable for the first portion of the repair or replacement costs otherwise known as the excess, which can vary from £100 up to £2,000.

If the car is damaged the car rental company will charge your credit card for the excess amount and you then claim for reimbursement on your Policy.

Blue Insurances insure the Policy holder, not the car rental vehicle. Car Hire Excess cover is ideal if you want to save money before you collect your rental vehicle.
