There are many different options to get to Courmayeur and La Thuile via Geneva,
Turin, Milan or Genova Airports using low cost, scheduled or charter flights.

(the closest airports to Courmayeur and La Thuile) as well as Milan and Genova.

You may prefer to drive to Courmayeur via the Euro Tunnel or Cross Channel Ferry
(Calais - Courmayeur approx 968 km). Just Skiing can arrange your crossing and
recommend routes by car to Courmayeur or La Thuile. Please call 01202

The nearest train station to Courmayeur and La Thuile is Pre Saint Didier
(approx. 6km and 12km respectively) or Morgex (approx 7km and 13km
respectively).

Just Skiing can also organise travel to Courmayeur by train from London St Pancras

Just Skiing can arrange Car Hire from your arrival airport so you can drive
yourself to and from your resort. This is sometimes the best value option and
gives you the freedom to visit other ski resorts in the local area during your
holiday. There are good motorways from Geneva and the Italian airports to
Courmayeur and La Thuile which involve paying tolls.
A5 Autostrada from Turin to Courmayeur and La Thuile:
Approximately 150km/1½ hours drive
A4 and A5 Autostrada from Milan to Courmayeur and La Thuile:
Approximately 220km/2½ hours drive
Autoroute Blanche from Geneva via the Mont Blanc Tunnel (approx 39 euros
return) to Courmayeur and La Thuile: Approximately 100km/1½
hours drive
Car hire prices are based on your arrival and departure from the same airport.
It is also assumed that your flight will depart within 2 hours of your inbound
arrival time.
Just Skiing use Europcar in Italy and Switzerland for all car hire needs.
The standard Group A hire car in Switzerland is a Seat Ibiza 3 door A/C or similar.
In Italy the standard Group A hire car is a Fiat Punto Active 3
door A/C or similar.
Please note that in Switzerland you are obliged to take the
Winter Tyre Option, which can be pre-booked but must be paid for locally at an
approximate price of £31 (70 Swiss francs) per rental.
Ski racks and snow chains can be pre booked in the UK and paid
for locally with prices from approximately 42 euros or 40 Swiss francs.
In the Aosta Valley it is a requirement that all vehicles carry
snow chains in the winter months between December and April. These can be
pre-booked and paid for locally at an approximate price of 42 euros.
Included in the price of your hire car: Airport pick up and drop off, all taxes, unlimited mileage, 3rd party insurance, CDW, theft waiver, 1 driver and air conditioning.
Not included in the price: Super Kasko/fully comprehensive insurance, hotel drop off and pick up, second driver (8 euros per day paid locally).
Responsibility: Please ensure that you read and understand the terms and conditions of your car hire contract and that you check the condition of the vehicle at pick up and drop off.
THE VEHICLE IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY DURING THE RENTAL PERIOD.
Prices: Are based on same airport pick up and drop off.
Deposit: When collecting your car you will be asked for a deposit of approximately 800 – 3000 euros per car. This can be held with an imprint of a major credit card locally upon arrival and will be used in case of accidents or to replace fuel.
Ages: Drivers must be over 21 for Group A and B and 23 for other Groups and hold a full UK drivers licence. For drivers over 75, please call our Reservations Team for details.
Lights: Please note that it is Italian law to drive with your headlights on at all times.
Snow Chains: Please note that you must carry snow chains in the Aosta Valley during the winter period
Car returns: Please return your car between the set times (normally not more than 1 - 2 hours prior to take off), as the car hire rep may not arrive at the airport until that time.
Fuel: The car must be returned full of fuel otherwise you will be charged a fee in euros plus the price of the petrol.
Cleaning: If the vehicle is returned with the interior dirty you may be charged 10 euros for cleaning.

Lost Keys: In case of the loss of the car keys a fee of 200 euros plus the cost of collecting the car must be paid locally to the car hire company.
Short rentals: If you require a car for 1 or 2 days, this can be arranged locally with our Reps.
Airport - Airport: If you intend to pick up and drop off your car at different airports, an extra charge of between 45–100 euros will be charged locally.
Child Seats: Child seats can be pre-booked in the UK at a cost of 40 euros per seat per booking and paid for locally.
Super Kasko Insurance: On arrival you will be offered extra insurance (Super Kasko). This is not compulsory but offers extra fully comprehensive insurance with no excess and costs approximately 8–50 euros per day depending on the car type and size.
Flight times: Please note that you may be charged for an extra days car hire depending on your flight arrival and departure times. Our Reservation Team will advise at the time of booking.
Extra drivers: Extra drivers can be added on arrival at the airport at a charge of 4 euros per day.
Luggage space: Please note that some cars have limited luggage space and although have 4 seats will not hold 4 suitcases.
Driver's license: Please note that anyone wishing to drive the hire car must have a valid driving licence and this must be the original. If you have the new 2 part UK licence, you must take both parts, the card and counterpart copy.
Availability: Please note that cars are subject to availability at the time of booking. If the type of car cannot be supplied, we will supply a similar make and model in the same group. The car hire company reserves the right to change makes and models of car at their discretion.
