Planibel Residence is a modern alpine style complex ideally situated next to the ski lifts, nursery slope, ski school meeting point and ski hire shop in La Thuile. The complex offers good value apartments with an indoor pool and health and fitness centre (extra cost) as well as a supermarket and a selection of bars and restaurants close by.

Accommodation
The Planibel Residence comprises of 230 apartments situated in 5 buildings (Montebianco which is nearest the ski slopes, Gran Paradiso, Monte Rosa, Cervino and San Bernardo), all with their own entrance and covered parking (extra cost) built around a central piazza. The apartments, which have recently been refurbished, have a choice of layout depending on your requirements:

Studio Apartment: Sleeps 1 /2 persons with twin beds in the living/dining area with kitchenette and bath and/or shower room.

1 Bedroom Apartment: Sleeps 2/4 persons with twin beds in the bedroom with en suite shower room, double sofa bed in the lounge/dining area with kitchenette and further bathroom.

2 Bedroom Apartment: Sleeps 4/6 persons with twin room with en suite shower room, further bedroom with bunk beds, double sofa bed in the lounge/dining are with kitchenette and further bathroom.

Most of the apartments open onto a balcony with views of the surrounding mountain scenery and the kitchenette consists of 2-ring hob, fridge and equipped with cooking equipment, crockery and cutlery. There is also thermostatically controlled central heating, satellite TV, safe, hairdryer and telephone. Linen and bath towels are provided.

Facilities
In the Planibel complex there are 4 restaurants and 3 bars including: La Raclette for pizza and local cuisine situated in the central piazza of the residence; King Cafe for informal dining with steaks and pizzas on the menu and music; A la Lune for home cooking including Aosta Valley specialities; Le Cage aux Folles which is a late night bar with music. There is also a piano bar in the hotel with evening entertainment from 7.30pm until midnight.

As a guest of the Planibel residence you must purchase a club card (€25 per person per week, 12 years and over from the 04/12/09 - 25/12/09 & 10/01/10 - 16/04/10) or €36 per person per week, 12 years and over from the 26/12/09 - 09/01/10, paid locally) to use the facilities of the hotel, which include the leisure facilities, mini club and disco. There is a large indoor heated pool, gym, sauna, Turkish bath (open from Monday to Saturday from 3pm - 8pm) and beauty and massage services are available (extra cost).

The Mini Club (22/12/09 - 28/03/10) is for families with children aged between 4 and 12 years old which operates every day Monday to Saturday from 9am – 6pm and Sunday 9am to 12noon and then again from 3pm to 6pm (predominantly Italian speaking, lunch extra cost). This facility is free also for non guests.

Also within the complex is a supermarket, a butcher/delicatessen, sportswear shop, news agent/gift shop and gelateria (ice cream parlour). There is a children's outdoor play area, snow park and ski tubing nearby. In the reception area there is an internet point available 8.30am-11.30pm.

Planibel offers the ideal location for an easy skiing holiday with convenient access to the nursery slopes and the gondola to take you from your apartment complex up onto the ski slopes and, snow conditions permitting, it is possible to ski back down.

It is perfect for families, couples and parties with all the necessary amenities and facilities you require on your doorstep! The supermarket is only a short stroll from the apartments as are a small selection of shops, bars and restaurants.

The town of La Thuile with a further selection of shops, bars and restaurants is only 5/10 minutes away. There are different layouts of apartments to suit all requirements, all being good value for money with the added benefit of the indoor pool, health/ fitness centre and the Mini Club.
